St Margaret's House, King's Lynn.

St Margaret's House was built in about 1755 for the local merchant and brewer Edward Everard (who was mayor of the town in 1742 and 1758). The house was built on the site of part of the fifteenth century Hanseatic Steelyard, consisting of warehouses around a quadrangle with a domestic range. The parallel warehouses leading to the River Ouse remain, with the existing St Margaret's House on the site of the original domestic wing.
