It was built by Armstrong-Whitworth, South Tyneside -- Laid down 28th December 1922 -- Launched 3rd September 1925 - Commissioned on 15th August 1927 --- Decommissioned February 1948 and used for target practice exercises before being scrapped at Inverkeithing , Scotland
