Trolleybus, Broad Street, Wolverhampton, 8675. Wolverhampton Corporation Transport's first trolleybus (No. 1) - a Tilling-Stevens TS6 - on the Broad Street end of the first inaugurated route. It was only able to carry single decker buses because of the difficulties posed by the railway bridge at the lower end of Broad Street. Note the connection rods on the roof making contact with the overhead lines (seen branching out from a pole on the opposite side of the street). The Wolverhampton coat of arms can be seen on the back of the trolleybus. There also appears to be considerable public interest. Trolley buses, Public transport, Motor vehicle industry, Photographs
