Einstein's last home at 112 Mercer Street, Princeton, New Jersey, USA. Albert Einstein (1879- 1955) arrived in Princeton with his second wife, Elsa, and his secretary, Helen Dukas, in October 1933 to take up a position at the newly-created Institute for Advanced Study. For the first two years the trio lived temporarily at 2 Library Place. In 1935, Einstein decided that he would remain at Princeton and they moved permanently to 112 Mercer Street. Helen Dukas and Elsa's daughter Margot continued to live at the house after Einstein's death in 1955 until their own deaths in 1982 and 1986, respectively. At Einstein's request, the house has never been turned into a museum or public shrine.
