PUERTO BARRIOS, Guatemala (Sept. 22, 2017) Navy Lt. Cmdr. Jonathan Auten, the emergency medicine residency assistant director and emergency medicine physician at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, teaches a Helping Babies Breathe course to local medical providers at Commando Naval del Caribe, a Guatemalan naval base, during Southern Partnership Station 17. SPS 17 is a Navy deployment executed by Naval Forces Southern 4th Fleet, focused on subject matter expert exchanges with partner nation militaries and security forces in Central and South America.
