Wednesbury is the very heart and centre of the Sonth StaffordshireBlack Country, being midway between Birmingham and Wolverhamptonin the one direction and half-way between Walsall and Dudley in theother. It is an ancient market town, and, together with the adjoiningparishes of Tipton and Darlaston, constitutes a Parliamentary Parish of Wednesbury is in the Poor Law Union of West Bromwich,which town, till made an independent constituency in 1885, was afourth parish included within the Parliamentary Borough of Wednes-bury. Communications. The town is well served by a frequent service of trains on theGreat Western Railway, the station on this Hne being about jh milesnorth of Birmingham.
