BROWN, LARGE GREENHOUSES The bowling teams are to meet the first week in September to elect cap- tains and draw up rules for the season. Joseph Streit was appointed to engage the Broadway alleys, beginning the middle of September. The Detroit bowling team will bowl the first of three games with the Cleveland team during the Cleveland flower show. Another topic of great interest was the planning of F. T. D. week in De- troit for the first week of October. A number of F. T. D. members and their employees, and a number of supply salesmen, are expected. J. F. Sullivan and Harry Taylor were appointed a committee to urge the retailers to put in special F. T. D. window displays. Samuel Seligman, of Wertheimer Bros., New York, offered a cash prize of $25 for the best window display, out-of- town F. T. D. members to be the judges, and at least ten entries to be made. Various Notes. The Detroit florists who attended the S. A. F. convention at New York this week are E. A. Fetters, A. J. Stahelin, Joseph Streit and Thomas F. Browne. .John Breitmeyer's Sons' employees held an outing
