Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue sent two fire engines on Saturday morning to an alarm at a 5 storey older people's residential building, named 'Brunswick Village', in Brunswick, Ardwick, South Manchester, UK. Since the Grenfell fire in London there has been greater awareness of the risks of a blaze in tower blocks like this one, especially where residents are older and may not by very mobile on their own. A fire officer carried out a black object which may have been the seat of the fire. Unclear as yet what this was. Credit: Terry Waller
