Mountain Goats (Oreamnos americanus) inhabit some of the most inhospitable regions in North America. They live in mountain terrain and alpine meadows where winter winds can exceed 100 mph ( kph), snowdrifts are more than 50 feet 9 ( m) and temperatures can exceed below -60 °F ( °C). Females normally have one kid, but twins do happen.
