Ancient Egyptian funerary stele depicting Ouhemmenou offering a drink to high steward Iat, Circa 1550 BC, 17-18 Dynasty, . The Louvre Museum . funeral meal depicting a man, Iat, wearing a kilt, ousekh necklace, sitting infront of a table of offerings. Another man, Ouhemmenou the cupbearer, standing wearing a loincloth, offers a vase. Other elements depicted are chen sign n the hanger, flanked by eye oudjat. The hieroglyphics read"Please the king grant an offering to Osiris, the lord of Busiris, the god who resides in Abydos, that he may give an offering of breads, beers, meats and poultry and all good and pure things of which a god lives, which heaven gives, which the earth creates, which the flood brings as an offering, which he grants to drink the water on the shore, to the great intendant " Height: 54 cm; Width: cm; Thickness: 8 cm.
