Ruins of the temples of Saturn and Vespasian in the Roman Forum. Rome

The Roman Forum was the forum of the city of Rome, ie the central area around which the ancient city was developed and in which were taking place the trade, business, prostitution, religion and the administration of justice . It was located communal home. Series of remains of paving show that sediment eroded from the surrounding hills was already raising the level of the forum in the early days of the Republic. Its final travertine paving, still visible, dates from the reign of Caesar Augustus. Currently the forum is famous for his remains, which show clearly the use of urban spaces during the Roman Empire.
