Army servicemen explore what is believed to be the oldest standing structure from early Roman days, dating back to the 3rd century. Erected by Lucius Pompeius Camparus to honor his family, the names were inscribed on the structure. The photo was taken on August 27, 1918 in Aix-les-Bains, France. It was released by the censor and the photographer was P. A. Rugg.
