Ejnar Pedersen's hands. PP Møbler, Allerød, Denmark. Architect: Unknown, 2015.

91 year old Ejnar Pedersen is one of Danish midcentury modernism’s most prolific craftsmen, and founder of legendary furniture manufacturing company PP Møbler. Ejnar started PP Møbler in the 40’s, and has worked with some of the leading architects and designers of his generation: Hans Wegner, Poul Kjærholm, Finn Juhl and Verner Panton. “I’m just a happy cabinetmaker who happened to get very lucky and work with some of the best”, he says. I spent a day with Ejnar both at the PP Møbler and at his home in Allerød, about half an hour north of Copenhagen. We drank a beer together, and he told me stories about his life with furniture. He is a very nice man.
