Master bathroom featuring black sinks. House Lus, Poznan, Poland. Architect: PL Architekci, 2012.

The house is barn-like divided into two separate parts: residential and social function. Those parts are joined with a glass connecting passage where the entrance is located. In front of the house there is no fence (which is not typical for Poland – the more the house is surrounded the better). From the south the building is open to the garden, along the glass wall there is a living room, a kitchen and a dining room. From the north there is an office, a bedroom and a home cinema. At present the majority of new houses is developed based on ready made projects. They reflect the desire of Polish people to live in houses which should look like an old castle (with colourful elevation and expanded roofs), mansion surrounded by forged fences.
