If the boiler is at the end of the house where the door is located, we would run a 2i/^-inch flow pipe on the wall next to the adjoining house. At the farther end, after taking off a 2-inch return to be carried back on the same wall underneath the flow pipe, we would carry a 2-inch main across the end of the house and then connect it with a coil of two 2-inch returns to be carried on the exposed wall of the house to the end near the heater, where they should be united with the other return and con- nected with the main return. In case the glass door is in the oppo- site end of the house from the boiler, so that it is not possible to carry the sup- ply pipe across the farther end of the house as suggested above, we would run a 2-inch flow pipe upon each side wall, and at the farther end of the house con- nect each flow with a 2-inch return pipe to be caried back under its own flow pij^e. If the location of the benches is such as to permit, we would carry the flow pipes about one foot under the plates or gutters and run tlie returns a foot or two lower. Give both flows and returns a drop of one inch in twenty feet. NEWPORT, R.
