New York City hosts a Safe Disposal Event in Prospect Park where people can drop off old electronics, paints, chemicals and other toxic agents, drugs, flammables and other materials harmful to the environment. Tons and tons of materials are dropped off. Veolia collects; sorts; treats and recycles millions of tons of municipal and industrial waste every year. An increasing amount of this waste is looped back into new consumption and production cycles.
