Jacqueline Schubart, Bertel Thorvaldsen, 1770-1844, August 1805 - March 1806, Sculpture, Bust, Portrait Bust, The Dutch Jacqueline Elisabeth Wieling married Herman Schubart (Danish baron and diplomat) in 1789. Tradition has it that she was a deeply religious person, musical and gifted, creating a good balance to her pleasure-loving husband. Thorvaldsen was on friendly terms with the Schubart family from 1804 and on several occasions he visited them at their country seat of Montanero outside Livorno.
