Themale birds cannot be mistaken for anyother species because of the whitecrown, wing coverts and underpartsand the broad green stripe, back of theeye. They breed locally in many partsof the countrj, building their nests ofgrass and weeds, neatly lined withfeathers, on the ground in lay from six to twelve creamyeggs.
