GREEK MYTHOLOGY - ANUBIS The Greek mythology assimilated the Egyptian god Anubis, but in a form which the Egyptians would scarcely recognize. Here his attributes are symbolized in such a way as to emphasis his rule over literature (the pen), the mysteries (the caduceus or thrysus) and his connexion with Egypt (the Crocodile). From a 16th century Imagini de gli Antichi.
