Carapace less than two fifths the length of the abdomen; the anterior and middle portion of the carapace is depressed and pubescent; this depressed area is defined by a curved line extending backward from the antero-lateral angle nearly to the pos- terior margin on the median line, and is crossed in part by nine carinas. The median carina is the length of the depression and is armed with two spines, one at two fifths the distance from the ^^^$:^^>y ^,_^'"<r"~Y" 7;—^—c'^^^^y'^ posterior margin, the ^^^^^^^''TlT \ \ |\ /\J^ other at an equal dis- """^ tance from the first.
