After two years of hard-ship endured in a life on the prairie, Mr. Scott removed with his wifeand son to the village of Tribune, Kan., and entered for a time withmuch success into the real estate and loan business, which at thattime was booming. Later, closing his business, he returned toIllinois and settled on a farm in Glasford. Mr. Scott has travelledmuch in the West, made the ascent of Pikes Peak, visited Niagara. CHARLES HENRY DOANE.
