Pontica)—Grows three to four feet high, with small, hairy leaves and yellow, red and orange flowers. Azalea (Hinodegiri)—A new variety from Jap- an; bright red; the showiest of all the hardy Azaleas. BARBERRY - Berberis Canadian Barberry (B. Canadensis)—A native variety of shrub or small tree with hand- some foliage, and yellow flowers in May, suc- ceeded by bright colored fruit; very orna- mental in the fall and winter. European Barberry (B. Vulgaris)—A hand- some shrub with yellow flowers in May or June, followed by orange-scarlet fruit. Japanese Barberry (B.
