In the foreground the well, in which his brothers held him imprisoned. In the background, a goat is slaughtered to be able to smear Joseph's coat with blood, so that his father will believe that Joseph is torn apart by wild animals. At the bottom of the margin a reference to the Bible text and the title in Hebrew, English, German, Latin, French and Dutch.
