The Secretary and Vo Ban Tam met on January 14, 2017, at the Nam Can Boat and Bus Station in Nam Can, Vietnam, while the Secretary visited the place where he started his career in public service as a Navy officer, and learned about war reconciliation efforts and work to curb environmental damage in the broader Mekong River Delta.
