Churches and villages across Gozo are illuminated with lights, bunting and colourful statues of Saints outside the church. The Patron Saint’s statue, however, is carried through the streets, supported by a special mass, the choir and local musicians. Over the three days, bands march through the streets, fireworks highlight the sky and gatherings of locals (and visitors) enjoy traditional and more modern fast food from the various street stalls
