Aerial photograph of the 14th century church of St Michael de la Rupe, on Brentor, in Devon, better known simply as Brentor Church. Brentor is the highest hill between Dartmoor in Devon and Bodmin Moor in Cornwall. The church and hill are a distinctive and well-known local landmark. It is also a magnet for artists and photographers. I took this image in mid-March, shortly before the "spring flush" briught more colour to the countryside. I was in a microlight aircraft, which had to fly higher than I'd hoped due to turbulence, whch also meant a bit more haze in the raw image.
