This is being equipped with a RivettPrecision Lathe with full outfits of attach-ments, and all the machines and tools neces-sary for the finest and most accurate work inany line of manufacture; and with the in-creased facilities in every department in theway of special machinery indicates the char-acter of the work that the trade may expectof the Cycle Improvement Company for theseason of //V/V/V/\A,/\^\/\A^ Mr. Janney, whose name the pedal bears, isto take immediate charge of the factory dur-ing the coming season, and his well-knownability as a mathematician and steel experfe,coupled with his experience in the manufact-ure of the finest mathematical instruments,is sufficient guarantee that the finish andworkmanship of the Janney pedal shall be asperfect as skill and machinery can make it. Three styles of pedals will be offered to thetrade—the mens rattrap, the mens rattrapwith special rubber attachment, and the ladiesrubber. On large orders the company will be pre-pared to supply special designs in side platesto suit the taste of the purchaser, althoughthe beauty of the 97 model seems to leave butlittle to be desired in the way of design.
