This set of images is of the Stubai Alps in the Stubaital valley near the resort towns of Fulpmes and Neustift in the Austrian Tyrol not far from the city of Innsbruck as they where in 1968. The image here is of the German Alpine Club, DAV, Dresden mountain Hut refuge, named after the north German city of Dresden, located at the head of the Stubaital valley looking towards the Schaufel Spitze mountain all prior to when the area was pristine before being heavily engineered by the Stubai Glacier Company into a ski area that is now littered with ski tow pylons, restaurants and cafes.
