This could represent heartburn, a burning pain caused by stomach acids escaping (refluxing) into the oesophagus (seen running from centre top down to the stomach) and burning its lining. This is due to the stomach's cardiac sphincter, a ring of muscle that separates the stomach from the oesophagus, failing to close properly. Running down from the stomach at lower centre is the duodenum, the start of the small intestine.
