A late Summer photo of the Longman of Wilmington on the side of the South Downs just on the edge of Wilmington village. What I can safely say is that he has been on the hillside for my lifetime but beyond that his age varies depending on which source you look at, nowadays he is cared for and isn't going anywhere soon unlike his close neighbour the White Horse of Littlington.
