Flowers of Origanum marjorana locally called marva in Maharashtra. This highly aromatic plant is used medicinally in Western herbal medicine as well as for certain religious ceremonies in India. It is one of the 21 leaves offered to the Hindu god Ganesh during the Ganesh Chathurthi festival.
