‘Orinoco’ and Boats on The Estuary Beach at Teignmouth With Boats Moored in the Teign Estuary, Teignmouth, Devon, England.
Beach view of Teignmouth estuary beach - 'Back Beach' – with boats on the shoreline. Some of these are dinghies to reach larger vessels moored on the River Teign. Shaldon village is clearly visible on the opposite shore of this estuary. This popular beach which is only a thin strip of sand is a well-loved destination for many locals and visitors. Being situated on the estuary side there is always lots to see and the place to catch the small pedestrian ferry across the estuary to Shaldon. The fishermen use this beach which formerly housed the local boat building company Morgan Giles. Several boat tour operators are based here. A variety of both working and leisure boats are moored in the foreground estuary. Teignmouth, Devon, England.
