Ingleborough Hill, looking east across the Doe valley from Twisleton Scar End. England's highest Iron Age hillfort, stronghold of the Brigantes. It may be 'Rigodunum' one of the last places to fall to the Romans. Its distinctive limestone bulk with a cap of millstone grit rises above a glacial valley containing drystone field walls, barns and a disused quarry. Low level, saturated lighting from a November sunset.
