Wenger, the tenth and youngest of hisfathers family, is a man small of stature, and was of ahearty constitution until he was 19 years of age when aspell of sickness for seven years afflicted him. At the ageof 26 he regained his health and energy, and retained ituntil the declining years of old age, and at the presentdate, Nov. 26, 1902, is more active at 67 years than themajority of his age. He came to South English, Iowa, onSept. 13, 1861, and braved the tide of pioneer life as afarmer and stock raiser, in which he was successful, being 56. No. 37. His clearconception and foresight made him useful in his communityas an adviser, and was generally selected as such in un-raveling difficult problems.
