The palace of the Grand Vizier on the other side of the square is clearly recognizable. Central to the painting Vanmour has shown a long procession of people. It is the Grand Vizier and his entourage, who Atmeydani crossing his palace on the right side to the Sultan Ahmed Mosque on the other side of the square. They are on their way to the mosque for Friday prayers. The procession is led by the lieutenant of the grand vizier, the Vizir kâhyasi his beautifully dressed horse. Then follow the foot soldiers of the lieutenant, walking behind him directly on the painting, but also often walk beside his horse. Behind every six guards of the Grand Vizier that the painting two heads taller than the other seem to be servants. They wear green jackets with gilded belts and richly decorated half-spikes. Behind them are two men carrying a rug and a pillow. They must remain close to the grand vizier.
