An elephant in the grounds of Mysore's Amba Vilas Palace better known simply as Mysore Palace. The palace is the starting point for the grand Dasara parade on the tenth day of the Dasara festival. Elephants arrive in the preceeding weeks so that they can be prepared for their participation in the festival This elephant has been painted by a mahout.
