Burchell's zebra (Equus quagga burchellii) baring its teeth. This is a form of communication, possibly a warning signal to another zebra. The Burchell's zebra is a subspecies of the plains zebra. It is found on the grassy plains of eastern and southern Africa, living in herds of several hundred individuals. Photographed in Etosha National Park, Namibia.
