Harefield, UK. 3rd August, 2023. A family of cute young fluffy baby coots (Fulica atra) known as cooties, were being fed by their parents today on the Grand Union Canal in Harefield. They squawked loudly as they swam along the canal following their parents. They were tucking into water lilies and also diving for aquatic weeds underneath the water.
