A charging point for electrical vehicles in a south London car park.
The Source London charge point network for electric vehicles was launched by Boris Johnson in May 2011. It is intended to install 1,300 public charge points in car parks and at supermarkets, leisure centres, etc as well as on residential streets. The ultimate aim is for every Londoner to be within one mile of a charge point. The charging point in the photograph is in a supermarket car park in south London and has two 7-pin 'Smart' eg Mennekes (IEC 62196) - Fast (7kW, 32A) sockets.
