Soon after he was ordaineda minister of the Methodist Episcopal church, but believingthat there was a greater field of usefulness in saving the youngmen of this country, he accepted the appointment of secretaryof the Young Mens Christian .\ssociation at Ellenville, N. this place, through his suceess^in his chosen field, he hasbeen transferred respectively to Addison, Lansingburg, GreenPoint, (Brooklyn,) and lastly to Binghamton.
