AMATEUR WALKER IN OBSERVER CORPS - Observer Bert Couzens, of East ham, the famous amateur walker, at his post in East London. Last month he broke the York-London record, covering the journey in 36 hours, 55 minutes. He is a fulltime member of the since the outbreak of war and joined as a part-time observer in 1938. He is 45 years of age and hopes to break his own record for this walk in the near future Royal Air Force
