The film director, Ken Loach, spotted Martin Compston and cast him in the film 'Sweet Sixteen'. From there he hasn't looked back having appeared in many films such as, True North', The Wee Man', The Great Train Robbery and Red Road. He has also been part of the cast in the highly acclaimed television police drama, 'Line of Duty'.
