This species is allied by sculpture and contour to T. tenuilirata, Sowerby, from which a much shorter, broader outline clearly separates it. One right valve was found on the beach of the Funafuti lagoon. Libitina guinaica, Lamarck. Reeve, Conch. Icon., i., Cypricardia, 1843, pi. ii., species 13. Plentiful dead on the beaches ; once found alive in a crevice in a block of coral in the lagoon.
