The ou;look for a prosporous year is good—rain is all that is needed to insure it—and that is almost certain to come in sufficient quantity to make the grain fields, pasture and orchards take on their wonted green and bloom before many weeks of the new year are gone. With good crops in all parts of the State, and district fairs in all the districts prosperity like that of "the good old days" will be with us. The Breeder and Sports- man wishes each and every one of its patrons and readers a happy and prosperous new year, and has faith that good times will dawn with it. RACING closed at Ingleside last Monday with the largest crowd seen on either of the local tracks this winter.
