John Paul II Monument at Wawel. This life-sized monument of the former local lad turned Pope turned Saint John Paul II stands across from Wawel Cathedral near the entrance of the Cathedral Museum, which just so happens to have been opened by the man himself (then Cardinal Karol Wojtyła) back in 1978. One of eleventy-gadzillion (by IYP's rough estimate) monuments to the Polish Pope across Kraków and PL, this one was designed by Gustaw Zemła and unveiled in 2008.
