The photograph alongside shows an ear which, when dry enough to shell, was 9J inches long and yet not an exceptional one. The tips of the ears are often entirely covered over with kernels. The ears average 16 Rows of Fine, Large, Deep White and Very Sweet Grains, which are second to none in tenderness and fine flavor. It is a Very Prolific Sort. Persistently Evergreen. The stalk is very strong and sturdy, of only medium height, six to seven feet; the leaves broad and dark green in color. An excellent succession for our New Hance's Early.
