The Philips Light Tower complex was constructed in 2 phases between 1909-1921 by architects Lou Scheffer and Dirk Roosenburg. It's first use was as a factory for manufacturing light bulbs and later became the Philips company headquarters. It is of a modern concrete construction, six-storey and an example of the New Objectivity, a movement in Modern architecture that emerged in German speaking Europe in the first part of the 20th century.
