The plant houses consist of a rangeof five iron and glass houses with a total length of 170 feet, and greatestwidth of 87 feet, costing, with heating apparatus, equipment, andnecessary improvement of surroundings, $18,000. The other buildingsare of frame construction. The total cost of all buildings was about$45,000. The buildings of the outlying stations are as follows : At the SierraFoothill substation, foremans cottage, stable, workshops, etc.
