The modern Kylesku bridge carries the A894 road over Loch Glencoul in Sutherland, northwest Scotland. The 902 ft (275m) prestressed box girder Kylesku Bridge was opened in 1984. Loch Glencoul has a bit of important WW11 history as it was here that a group of X-craft miniature submariners trained around the waters of Kylesku in 1943 before setting off for Norway where they attacked and crippled the infamous German battleship, Tirpitz.
