Thaxted Morris Weekend-a meeting of member clubs of the Morris Ring hosted by Thaxted Morris Men. 4-5 May 2016, Thaxted Essex England, of Morris Dancers attend the annual Thaxted Morris Weekend. On the Saturday the morris 'sides' travel to various local pubs and dance in the car parks or nearby streets. In the evening a procession of dancers in their 'sides' is followed by massed dancing through the centre of Thaxted which is then followed by the Abbots Bromley Horn Dance through the darkened streets of Thaxted. On the Sunday mornig the sides process to Thaxted Church.
